Default Ticking Noise- Emission Control Valve Replacement

Hey guys, I've had the dredded ticking noise coming from my car for a while, happens when the car warms up and typically on idle.
Ive put together a quick diy to replace the valve see below...

They call it a canister purge valve at mitsubishi stealerships, note the part number on bag and receit. cost is a bit steep at nearly $129!

The valve is behind intake manifold...

    looking from passenger side

put a spanner on the top nut and undo to allow better access

Remove the electrical plug by squeezing together, pull of hoses on either end of the valve (plastic cylinder)

    the valve once out,

I tried blowing it out and spraying it out with MAF sensor cleaner to see if this might fix the valve but after reinstalling it, the noise was still present.

I then installed the new valve which is just a reverse of getting it out, started the car and ... no more noise. thanks for checking this out guys.

*edit; I had to resort to buying and installing this myself as I was 1400km past 130,000km warranty period and mitsubishi didnt want to honour the warranty after this point, I even tried their goodwill clause as they call it and still I was denied... even though my family have 7 late model mitsubishi cars (we're a loyal bunch) they wouldnt replace my $129 valve
